Today’s challenge pattern is the Sophia Cloche, designed by Wendy Bickford, AKA The Hooked Haberdasher. This is the first time I’ve gotten to know Wendy, and I have to say that she is absolutely fabulous! You will love her work! You can find Wendy by email, on her blog, and on Facebook, Ravelry, and Etsy.
Where are you from?
I live in Northern California, and enjoy a lifestyle which affords me the opportunity to see this wonderful country I live in by way of three-quarter time RVing with my bestest friends – my most awesome husband Bob and our two little doggies.
Who taught you to Crochet?
As a wee little blond girl at the age of 8, my dear grandmothers taught me the wonderful art of crochet.
Do you have a favorite yarn/hook/other supply?
I truly do love my Armour soft touch hooks and as for yarn, my most favorite yarn is hand spun Paco-Vicuna.
Why are you participating in the challenge?
I am a photographer and a labor & delivery doula, so I spend a lot of time in the maternity wards. There is a great need for handmade hats for the wee ones, especially those who must visit and stick around for awhile in the NICU.
