The On the Double Beanie is the 5th pattern of the Spring 2015 Challenge. We’re nearly halfway! Today’s pattern was contributed to the challenge by Sonya Blackstone of Blackstone Designs. Let me share with you a little bit about Sonya:
What are your can’t-live-without essentials for crocheting (or other crafts)?
If I had to choose to only use a few of craft supplies to use for the rest of my life I would chose G, H, & I Clover Amour Hooks, Cotton and Bamboo Yarns, Hot Glue Gun, Buttons and a Yarn Needle. Although I don’t NEED the needle, it sure does make hiding those strings quicker! For the longest time I used my crochet hook to hide them! Can you imagine?
When do you feel the most creative?
I usually feel the most creative late at night when I’m trying to fall asleep. I get that excited feeling and it starts to wake me up because I want to jump out of bed and get started. I often have to talk myself off the craft ledge and force myself to sleep. lol
Which of your designs is your favorite (or which one are you the most proud of)? Why?
I truly love all of my designs, but I think the one I am most proud of is the Lovely Lace Sweater because I was completely intimidated by the Lover’s Knot and I was not only able to learn the stitch, but I was able to turn it into a beautiful sweater!
