Today, we are privileged to hear from Christine of My Sweet Potato 3. Christine has the distinction of being one of the designers that has done the challenge since it first began. I’m so excited to have her be part of the challenge again this year!

Where are you from?
Tell us a little bit about your family.
Happily Married for 14 years and have been blessed with 3 children
Who taught you to crochet?
My Great Grandmother (my daughter is named after her)
What is your favorite thing you’ve ever made or designed?
My first big project was an Afghan I made with my Great Grandma, next would have to be the hats I made for each of my babies to come home in.
What got you started writing patterns?
I had a hard time finding the patterns I wanted and when I did they always seemed to be missing something. My priority is to make sure my patterns are easy to follow and understand.
Do you have a favorite yarn/hook/other supply?
My go to hook is a K and I love working with worsted weight yarn.
Do you crochet to background noise?
If so, what song/artist/tv show/movie is your favorite? I am hooked to HGTV and want to totally take on a completely run down house and make it over some day. I also listen to Nickleback a lot (I know that is a little out there) 🙂
Where do you like to crochet?
In my comfy chair with a cup of coffee close by
Why are you participating in the challenge?
I was a preemie and this is an easy way to give back to others going through a stressful time. I also participate in many other challenges. I just completed a Cancer Challenge and had nearly 2000 hats pledged in honor of my Uncle Jeff who lost his battle in August.
