Today I’m excited to share a pattern created by Amy from The Stitchin’ Mommy for the challenge. This texture is so sweet! Connect with Amy at the following sites:
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in New York City, NY
Tell us a little bit about your family.
I am a stay at home mom with one amazing little girl who is 3 years old. My husband and I have been married for 5 years but have been together for almost 12 years. We live in a quaint little apartment in NYC.
Who taught you to crochet?
I learned how to crochet by watching YouTube tutorials and by reading crochet books. I didn’t have anyone to really teach me so I learned on my own.
What is your favorite thing you’ve ever made or designed?
I love each one of my designs like they are my babies but if I did have to choose a favorite, it would be my turkey hat.
What got you started writing patterns?
I started writing patterns because I wanted to get all of the creations that I had in my head down on paper. I started learning how to properly write patterns and went on from there.
Do you have a favorite yarn/hook/other supply?
I recently discovered Furls Handmade Wooden crochet hooks and I absolutely fell in love. They are my favorite hooks to use. I use them for almost everything I make.
Do you crochet to background noise?
If so, what song/artist/tv show/movie is your favorite? I usually crochet while watching tv. I don’t really have a favorite show, I just watch whatever interests me.
Where do you like to crochet?
I have a special spot on my sofa that my family calls “Mommy’s seat.” That’s where I do most of my crocheting.
Why are you participating in the challenge?
I’ve never designed a preemie beanie before and it’s for such an amazing cause, I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to do something good.
